One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name. Rest in Peace Trent.

It was with such sadness that we heard what happened to Trent. We were so lucky to have him photograph our wedding last December in Galway along with Melissa Mannion. He brought a ray of sunshine to our day with his smile, his wit and charm. My family and friends spoke of him afterwards and the fun that be brought into the day. Nothing was a problem for him. We have never met anyone with such energy. People were naturally drawn to him. We will miss him dearly and treasure the moments he caught for us on our day. Trent, we know that you are looking down on us from heaven. We will never forget you. It is such a tradegy that you life was cut so short - someone that had so much life in them. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends who must be suffering so much at this time.

Just want to say that it was a pleasure to meet this man. He just had something about him, a magical personality so to say one that doesn\\\'t come along often. I am very sorry for his family becasue I can only imagine how sad they are.

“G’day, I’m Trent. I’m Handsome.” He may not have been as literal as this when we first met, but whenever I think of it, I have this notion in my head those were his first words to me. That’s the level of a first impression he left. And as we would all testify, whenever anyone would say “Trent, you’re star” he would finish the sentence with “and handsome too.” It never mattered weather he was or not, he was able to make us believe that he was. I started working in the Pete’s studio a few weeks after he did. In the early days, I would be strolling to work in the morning and on several occasions, I would be overtaken by this speedy long legged marathon walker. He asked why I walked so slow and told me off for looking at the ground all the time as I walked. No one ever commented on these things before and it made a difference. Within a very short space of time, he showed me so many possibilities in life, he would encourage me to aspire to things I thought not possible and I would see his charming and gentle mannerism would not only keep the customers happy, but also made everyone around him feel good about themselves. And I thought, “I can be as charming”, not because he is, but because it is good to be happy and to spread it. Now I have a reputation for walking fast round the streets of Edinburgh, the city he told me so much about and ultimately played a major part in me moving to. I did not shake hands before meeting Trent. Now, it is part of my ritual of saying hello to people. And three kisses are too many for me, so one will do (two if they’re worth it). Trent always carried his camera with him and always took photos. Until recently would do similar but stopped for various reasons. Now I realise that I’m missing it and intend to carry my camera around and will be snapping forever again. It sits in a rug sack I bought with his help. I never had a role model until I met Trent. His death reminds me of what he has given us and more importantly what we must pass on to others in return. For these reasons, I believe Trent will be around for allot longer than we can possibly imagine. Eoin (and I’m handsome too)

Trent, we only had the privilege of meeting you once; last year on our Wedding Day. You made us all feel so special that day, you made yourself part of our home. We watched our wedding DVD just to see you again and there you were capturing every moment and so full of life. We only knew you for a day but feel like we have known you all our lives. Thank you Trent; Take care J&K

YOU DEPARTED WITHOUT A WORD You departed without a word, Leaving us with sorrow behind, Not knowing what to say, Why did you have to depart? Why you Trent? Why you? We loved you and cherished you a lot, We loved your jokes and your smiling face, We loved you for the good things you had Started doing for SAAS, exposing us To the world by taking our photographs But now you have gone, not a tour, but to Another world. Why you our dear Trent? It’s so saddening to realise that you are not here, You are not with us any more, we cant reach you Any more, we will never see your smiling face again, We will never smile and laugh with you again. Why Trent, why did you depart without a word? Even though you are far away, far away from our world, Far away from us, far away from the people you loved, We assure you our great love, we promise to be with you in spirit, but we Still can’t understand why, why you? It’s so afflicting to loose you, to loose the loved one like you, Though you went away without goodbye we love you, And we will always love and cherish you. We will miss your jokes, your laughter, your generosity, We will never forget you in our lives. Your loving and caring friend. Good bye Trent may your soul rest in peace. Written by: Triza Mghanga

I only had the privilege of meeting Trent once, but I've rarely met somebody with his charisma. He left an indelible impression on me after that single meeting, and I wish I'd had the chance to get to know him better. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
