The following poem was read at my father-in-law's funeral last week. I know thaat Trent was at the pearly gates to welcome him home... TO THOSE I LOVE & THOSE WHO LOVE ME When I am gone release me, let me go, I have so many things to see and do You must not tie yourself to me with tears, Be thankful for our many beautiful years I gave to you my love. You can only guess, how much you gave to me in happiness, I thank you for the love you each have shown But now it's time I travelled on alone So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. it's only for a time that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on, So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near, and if you listen with your heart you'll hear, All my love around you soft and clear And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say "Welcome Home"

Wow.. that short movie was so powerful & inspiring.. What a guy trent was..loved life & people.. he lives on with us every day...

It is so sad that he is gone. But as it is shown in your vidoe, he will never be gone completely. I just watched it and it is so so lovely, i had tears in my eyes... I want to become a photojournalist and people like him inspire me! Thank you for that, Trent! *

Everytime I hear someone say "Did you miss me?" or "Fantastic!" I will always hear your voice saying that as you did in all those Swing dancing classes! And it's not every man that would have been brave enough to agree to putting me on their shoulders at that Aerials workshop... I am so glad that I met you, and I'll never forget you. I know you're still "fantastic", wherever you are!

I am now contacting many of my photographer friends and asking them to read his story. We are considering a boycot of tour companies in the area until this is solved to everyone's satisfaction.

He has my utmost respect as a photographer.I salute him. My condolences to the family and may Trent rest in peace. Let us follow in his footsteps.There is a story to be told and photographers should be the one doing it.Trent is a Martyr.Let us honor him.

So sorry to hear about this. I have photographed in Africa, usually travelling alone. I\'m sure he was doing what he loved. Best wishes.
