Trent - You are home! It seems like it\'s taken a lifetime getting you back home this last week only to let you go again to be the free spirit that you are. You will be missed by all your cuzzies in their own special way. I take comfort in that you have spent some wonderful quality times with Trish, Mike, Nic & Scotty since you started on your travels some years ago now. We will all look out for them now and in the days, weeks and years to come - Love you.

I came to meet Trent when i was on the mid of term from school. at my first sight i thought he was an army, but after i talked to him i realised he is a photographer. he was not only a talented photographer but also he was good at cracking jokes,. he never wanted silence to occupy the atmosphere. Trent visited my home, took lots of photos of me and my family and they all appreciated him, Trent i will never forget the moments we shared with you, May God rest your soul in peace till we meet again.

I met him briefly in passing as a photographer. There certainly something special about him that I cant describe.

Whilst I have already sent through a tribute for Trent I have since remembered something that shows what type of person he was. A few years back I had some very dark days and alienated a lot of people around me by "acting up". Whilst many people turned away, Trent saw through all of this and nurtured the real me that lay beneath it all. It has taken me all of this time to recognise how much strength his unconditional, accepting, and ongoing friendship gave me. Trent I will miss you so very much and thank you for bringing so much light into so many lives. You truly made a difference. Rest in peace my friend. Love you.

Nikki & Scotty, Trish & Mike My heart goes out to you as you journey home with your beloved brother and son. Trent's big kind caring heart and positive energy will always be an inspiration to the lives he has touched. May that give you strength to continue on.

While standing tall, he was never afraid to lie down to get a shot! A gentle giant with a true passion for his work. I'll miss him.

Nikki & Scotty, Trish & Mike...on this saddest of days, the day you bring your beloved son and brother home one last time, we send you all our love. Such a contrast to where we all were exactly 2 years ago today celebrating the happiest of family occasions in Santorini with you all. My overwhelming memory of that beautiful time was how you all reached out to us and made us feel such a special part of your family. And the lovely Trent with his great big heart who was everything and more than his sister had always described. So refreshing to meet a man who was so embracing of our friendship and not afraid to give of himself. A son to be proud of. Sending all our love to you as you get through the next few days and weeks.

we met riding horses at Bushline Farm. He was tall, blond and a "Spunk" (a then 13 year olds view). Years later, this tall cowboy would arrive on horseback up my innercity villa driveway much to the enjoyment of my then 2 year old son, it was a rare thing to see these days but a clear vision I will always have. He took my son to his first movie and arrived with his tools to help hang my curtains after a few wines one night. When Trent gave you a hug with his big long arms, all was well in that place and you felt so treasured to be his friend. Now I will treasure the wonderful memories of a beautiful kind and gentle soul. My heart is with Trish, Mike, Nikki and all who knew and loved Trent.

We rode horses together in New Plymouth. I'll never forget the cheeky look on your face as all three horses slammed into each other racing to be first to fit up the narrow bush tracks!...and the time you got through first and galloped madly ahead, over a rise...and land saddle-deep in a dam, near wetting yourself with laughter!...and the crazy races through the cliff tracks at BackBeach! The competition was tough and SO much fun! There are certain people in this world who will ALWAYS be remembered, not just for what they achieve, but for WHO they are. It's very clear that there will be SO MANY hearts remembering you Trent, fly free! My thoughts to all Family and friends, you must have SO MUCH PRIDE to help carry you through this unbearable time. God Bless X

Taken from us way too early and you had so much more of the world to show us. I really enjoyed your photography - your talent for the candid life of others was amazing and I put you up there with Time magazine's Yuri Kozyrev. Your use of light is outstanding and by the look in peoples eyes you can tell they liked their photo being taken by you. You will be missed!

Dear Trent. It has been fantastic knowing you for 3 weeks when you came to SAAS Mombasa Office. I got used to you instantly as a result of your carefree nature and it felt like i had known you forever. You promised to return to Mombasa after 2 months to take photos of my son. A promise you never got to keep. I will never forget your bubbly laughter and your attempt at learning Kiswahili language with zeal. "Lala vyema Trent" - Sleep well. Till we meet again. Rukiya Said
