Even having met Trent only a few times - It was very clear what a lovely person he was. Talented, dedicated and always with a friendly smile & warm heart. I was deeply saddened by his passing My sincere condolences to his family.

I write on behalf of my father and late mother, Vincent and Lila. My parents got to know Trent when he worked for Peter Harkin as they lived upstairs in the same building. The fact that he was their friend rather than mine is a testament to the lovely person he was as true friendship has no age boundaries. He really was so good and kind to them. I would regularly pop in to see Mam and Dad on my way home from work to find the three of them out in the back yard having a good old natter. My mother was ill and frail in her later years but always a great conversationalist and she loved her chats with Trent. And he kindly put up shelves in the back shed for my father who is really saddened at his death. I wish I had gotten to know him better but it's obvious his impact on everyone he met in his life is huge. Dad and I are thinking of his family. Rest In Peace, Trent.

Trent took lovely photographs of my son on his Confirmation Day. We thought it would only take a couple of minutes but Trent being the professional keep us for over an hour taking as many photos of us in various poses! We laughed and cursed him that day! When collecting the photographs from him, he made me promise that I'd frame at least one and put it up on the wall. A year later I am forfilling that promise and I WILL put one photo up in memory of Trent and his great work. My condolences to his family and friends

Trent would come into us, to have issues with his computer looked at. He would greet us by shaking your hand - he had a very strong hand shake - we all started to avoid Trent's hand shake after a few visits. We will miss him - he was a very genuine friend and customer. Our deepest sympathy to his family and friends. From all in GalMac Computers

It was on a cold and wet November evening that I had the honour of meeting Trent in Galway; his gentle nature, compassion and love of his work really struck me, and although I only spoke with him for a few hours, that was more than enough to catch a glimpse of what a truly amazing man he was. My prayers and thoughts are with your family and friends. Love Nicks x

I shared a house with Trent until he departed for NZ at the end of Feb. He was always a pleasure to be around and even managed to get a smile out of me when i was tired and grumpy after a long day at work. Will never 4get him. And will always remember him when i have our obligatory snack of "hummous and Crisps"! "Goodnight sunshine"

Trentastic Trent, I first met you about about 7 years ago and instantly a friendship was formed. You brightened every room you walked in to. Your presence always so strong. You always greeted me with a very strong and loud "g'day shorty" and then the kisses would start, alternating between cheeks until i lost my balance, usually on the fourth and you'd always say "go for as many kisses as you can get" and start your trademark deep chuckle. Your laugh still ring in my ears. You ended every text message and email you sent to me with "keep smiling :)". Knowing you was a gift and a lesson on how life should be lived. Trent, I love you and miss you. Every time I see a sun flower I'll think of you. My heart and thoughts are with your family and friends. Love, Brid xxx

What an incredibly special son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, work associate and FRIEND we have all lost. We were never lucky enough to get to know this tall, gentle vivacious young man whos passion for life, it seems, was as large as his smile. Our darling friend Nicki, reading through all of these heartfelt tributes paints an accurate picture of what an incredibly beautiful, infectious human being your brother was. You & Scott, and your Mum & Dad have so much to be proud of, a wonderful soul whos abundant passion for life will live on in all of you. You have brought Trent home, back under Egmont and you have been so strong in doing so Nic. Let us take care of you now my love. Safe journey Trent, Love Shellie, Mark, Stella, Corbin and Charlize Ebert xx

I only met Trent a few times but there was definitely something special about him. He always turned up to capture the good times on camera when least expected and will be sadly missed around Galway.

We will always remember Trent as our very special neighbour who rode his horse up and down our drive wearing a large cowboy hat. He was always so happy and friendly. Our love hugs go to Trish Mike Niki Scott and families. xxxxxx

Today I was shocked and saddened to hear of Trent's death from the pages of the British Journal of Photography. I met Trent at Fixation in London earlier this year twice in one week. On both occasions we chatted and laughed about ordinary photographer things; that you could never have enough camera bags, always needing new toys to play with, never having enough time to fit in all the things we wanted to, and the general chit chat that photographers enjoy. Trent took an interest in my hopes of getting a full time post as a photographer and encouraged me in my quest. Our next meeting was a few days later when we were coincidentally back at Fixation to collect our cameras from the repairers at the same time. That I live two hours drive from London and the chances of that happening are remote to say the least! We remembered each other, he did cut quite a figure after all, he asked how things were going, showing a genuine and friendly interest. He was animated about leaving that day for Dubai, and I think NZ, and told me about his planned trip to Kenya. I offered to buy him a coffee, but he was rushing to go home and pack to go to the airport, so he graciously declined. He gave me his business card and told me to drop him a line and that he'd help out professionally if he could, and if I needed it. We parted with a warm smile, a very firm handshake (!), and a promise to keep in touch. Trent, I got my dream job! I did check out your web pages and loved your work, as we have a similar need to tell stories through our pictures. I'm so sorry I didn't drop you a line to say so - but on Friday coincidence plays it's hand again! I fly to Kenya on my first foreign job and when I'm standing on the roof of that country at the top of Mt Kenya, we'll have that coffee, I'll say a prayer for you, say hello again and thank you for being such a gracious, kind, committed, talented and generous man. I'm sad that we didn't get the chance to have that coffee because I think we'd have got along famously as mates, as well as photographically. These tribute pages say so many wonderful things about you and I know just from two short meetings that they're all true! Graham
