tributes

I first met Trent about 5 years ago. He was a tall gorgeous looking breath of fresh air, who you could hear laughing above everyone else in the pub. He whirlwinded into town and soon found himself in the thick of Galway life. He helped us move house, and when I say help, I really mean that he literally moved everything. Beds, couches, washing machines, fridges, wardrobes, everything, you name it he moved it!! and the best part was it was out of no sense of obligation, it was just he wanted to help out. My daughter Alex only was as high as his knee, but he would hunker down to chat to her at her level. Trent was a true gent and a credit to his parents and family. He did not deserve this tragedy to happen and he is sorely missed here. I feel privileged to have known him over the years and wine out of a plastic cup will never taste as good again. I’ll miss you buddy. Keep smiling Trent. xx

I am absolutely shocked and devastated at the loss of such a good man. I met Trent while working in Davitt Photo Centre in Galway. He always knew how to make me smile and brighten up my day! Trent was a bright and bubbly guy full of charm and kindness. It is such a tragedy that he has passed away. I am deeply upset and my heart goes out to all his family and friends during this difficult time. It was an honour to have known Trent! And I hope he rests in peace! x0x all my love forever, Shell

I've found out from Peter Kelly, who is in Australia at the moment, about Trent's death in Kenya. I am very shocked and so sad and I can't express my feelings. This is very tragic. I want to say my sincere condolences to his family, which I never met, but he told me a lot about. I am Corina from Bochum, Germany. We used to work together in Peter Harkin's studio and met several times after I went back to Germany. He was one of the most special persons I've met and we've shared something very sensitive: our love to photography. I wish his family and friends all my love and lots of strength to live a life without him but with him in our hearts. All the best, Corina and Sven

It was with much shock the day my mum sent me a text to tell me of her best friend Trish Keegan's son Trent, had sadly passed away. My Mother Alison Laurence is a good friend of Trish's as is our whole family. My heart goes out to Mike, Trish and Nicola from here in Perth, Western Austalia. All my love Trish, from Dennise xxx.

Through Catwalk, I had the pleasure of working with Trent on many occasions. Last time I met him was in January, we did a photo shoot together. We had so much fun. I’m laughing in every shot! Parting that day with a massive hug and his signature “3 Kisses”! Trent had a unique quality about him that allowed him to make any person feel very special in his company. My deepest sympathies to all his loved ones at this time.. Darling Trent, I will miss you always... May you Rest in Peace XXX - Love Kim

Trent, though I didn't know you as well as many others here, I am so so very sad and distraught. I am so glad I had the honour of meeting you all those years ago in New Plymouth - such an amazing person and you had such impact on all you met. Now I find myself desperately trying to recall our last conversation when I bumped into you in Egypt - that must be 10 years ago now, somehow I have this thing that I will feel better if I can clutch onto something. I can only imagine the grief and the emptiness your family and close friends must feel, and I am so sorry that they have to endure this pain of not having you there next to them anymore. You will live on through many dear Trent, may you rest in peace my friend xoxo

I had the pleasure of both working with Trent and having him as a good friend here in Galway. I cannot describe how much of a beautiful human being Trent was - an absolute gentleman! Before Trent left Galway, he brought Kate (my daughter) and I out to Dunmore to the studio for a photoshoot - we had so much fun out there that and Kate still talks about it. He had us both laughing hysterically that day! The images he shot will be treasured forever. I consider myself to be a very lucky man to have known Trent - and I will always remember him Rest in peace Trent

Over the course of a lifetime you meet precious few people who have the ability to share their love and lust for life like Trent could. The world is a darker place today, and I feel for all those people out there who never had an opportunity to be a part of his world. Rest in peace FB.

It's with great sadness that I write this tribute to a true gentleman and friend. My wife and I had the great pleasure of having Trent at our wedding. He was working with Melissa Mannion at the time and his professionalism and charisma to photography was clear for all to see. His charm, good humour and friendly nature made him an instant hit with the wedding party, friends and family, it was if he was one of our own. As I write this, all I can think of were his never ending smiles, constant energy levels and his kindness to my little brother and pageboy who was only 5 years old at the time. Trent could connect with people of all ages, it was just his good nature. Sadly, it was thoses who didn't know of your kindness and love that have taken you away from your family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during your difficult time. Trent, you will never be forgotten. May you Rest in Peace.

Didn't know you well, Trent, but it was well enough to see the warmth in your soul. You had one of those presences that makes a mark on all that you meet. Will think about you now and then when I have my camera in my hand. You had a good eye, and a great heart.

Many thanks to all those who turned out on a blustery evening on June 3 to say goodbye to Trent in Salthill. Many thanks especially to all those who made it possible - from the flowers, photos, food, singing and the service. We are united in sadness at the loss of a great man and best friend. And I thought I was one of just a select and special few! I would hold a memorial every evening if I thought it could take away the pain of losing him in such a tragic way. With love Trent. I hope you were there, I asked you to hold the rain off - and you did. Keep smiling sunshine x x x
